Hello folks.
A customer of mine asked what became of Genus and I told him I'd look into it. In doing so I came across your site here. Under the retailer link it read to send an email, but I could not for the life of me find a page that had an email link or email address. In any case I figured this was likely as good a way as the other to inquire as to when the next solicitation for Genus might be. I believe that the last published issue was #92 Feb 2010, would that be correct?

Yeah, sadly, parts of the site are still under construction, since we have all been so busy... ^_^; (And thanks for the heads up- I knew I was forgetting something...)

The last Genus solicited was #92, which was released in January 2010. Due to Diamond Distribution's new minimum order cutoff policies, we had to reformat all our books (if we wanted to continue to be in the Previews catalog, and thus available to comic stores) and can no longer release them on a monthly/bimonthly schedule. The upside is the books now have more pages, nicer cover and interior paper stock and are perfect bound like slim graphic novels- they really look nice! The downside is since that format is much more costly to produce, we can only release one or two issues of Genus (and Furrlough) per year. Since 2010 was the first year to do the new formats, we were still working the bugs out, so we only had one issue of each book this year. Our hope is that we will be able to do two issues of Genus next year in 2011. ^_^

The next issue of Genus (#93) is scheduled to be released in January 2011. We'll be sending the solicitation information to Diamond for the Previews catalog in September, so we should know more about it a little closer to that date.

Thank you very much Elin. We'll keep our eyes peeled for them and wish you the best for success. Diamond being the monopoly has been a rather unfortunate bane for the comics industry in many ways. Hopefully they'll open up their rules and allow more talent to see daylight in print. Good Luck.
