A lot of weight to place on a young mind…. gives a little insight to the turmoils in Hard Nose’s mind…. the wish for forgiveness from one who would never forgive no matter what you do… the guilt for a tragedy that should never have been his to carry….
Our historians are both knowledgeable, fast and insightful…. definitely a group of people to take note of.
Very true, Parou… a hard weight for a young mind. I started pondering the idea of forgiveness when reading about a man who did not believe in divorce and said he loved his wife and stood by her even though she had deliberately killed their baby daughter (and he wasn’t proclaiming her innocence and yes, he really does love her. I’ve followed his posts for about 5 years as he waited for his wife’s release from jail.)
The devotion touched me (part of this may be that his sect doesn’t believe in divorce) and I wondered if I would be that forgiving if I was in a situation where a family member deliberately or accidentally killed someone I loved.
