Good chapter, if grim. One typo, though: ‘misses’ should be ‘missus’. The latter is the full version of Mrs., referring to the wife, whereas ‘misses’ would refer to more than one unmarried woman.
Fixed – thanks for the heads up. I will freely admit that this one was pushed out faster than I’d like to make it’s Thursday deadline and hence skipped it’s usual proofread staff. That and spell checker was failing me. Guess Missus is too old fashioned of a word nowadays. ^.^
Normally I’d be preparing the bonfire for celebration when this tiger’s tail is tanked, but as this is a well-researched medieval fantasy comic, the “happy ending” is just Ebin and co continuing living at this point…
Sorry if your not feeling well Smudge. Though I would like to comment to you, as a fan that has been watching your work for a while…
Frankly your killing Flufweena’s brothers, and her Father now, has (in all honesty…pleasantly) shocked me. Bravo to you for not following the “formula” and placing some trick or plot device in so They all live happily ever after.
And I feel I am going to take flack on this as I always do and be misunderstood but, it also saddens me, that it seems once again, even shocking violence is ok…but passion is a Taboo. It’s ok for Houmin to BEAT Fluffweena, and kill her whole family, and Ebins whole family, and Hang the priests of st NUS (which was REALLY cool by the way) But I suppose it would be considered “Porn” and a host of other uncomplimentary things for Houmin to want to father children by his conquests? To have him want to (or even manage) to enthrall Lord Vulyken (sp?) and his beloved?
I know this is not THAT kind of comic, but you DO break the mold in SOME areas..I guess I am just somoone who never gets enough 😉
Yup – all new, as the story has passed what has been printed as of ‘Circling Crows’. With Furlough now an annual, it was bound to happen sooner or later. ^.^

Wow you must REALLY like this scene, I have had to look at his toes for a week 🙂
Sorry – Sick Smudge is an unproductive Smudge. Blargh. Hope to have new story by next week… if this cold lets me think long enough to script it out.
Heh:

Wait .. this is a brand new comic, not just scanning old prints that already appeared in Furrlough? (my collection isn’t complete, so I wouldn’t know)
