Hmmmm…. toughie, but I think Smudge has it right…. if I correctly remember what my High School English teacher used to say (and that was many moons ago now) it is FARther for physical distance and further for conceptual or metaphorical…… but no guarantees that I remember it right!

Yes. Perhaps the word I chose was incorrect, but at least I still knew father was incorrect as well. XD I’ve always heard either could be correct and I rarely see farther so I picked the one I heard more. Of course… I knew more about English than my HS English teacher that covered that difference soooo yeah.

Seems we have very knowledgeable scouts here…. We have seen his ‘conscription’ process so far and this seems to enforce that the Emperor has an effective system for gathering quality into his forces as well as quantity.
It’s called ‘fear’ and ‘desire’; the ‘fear’ of being against him and the ‘desire’ to keep your head firmly attached to your shoulders WITHOUT a noose or something else getting in the way.
