Sebastian deLovely, younger son of a minor noble house, becomes trapped in an enchanted castle with an angry, distrustful Beast. After a bad start Sebastian is determined to make the best of it; however, Beast has nothing but contempt for the interloper in his domain. They eventually reach an understanding and Beast – against his better judgment - comes to consider Sebastian a friend. Meanwhile, Sebastian is doing his best not to let his feelings of friendship towards Beast become something more. Dangerous secrets are still playing out in the castle, however, and Beast’s dark history may be more than either Sebastian or Beast can ultimately handle.
Hi, I’ve actually been a reader of SatB for a number of years now. It’s been a story I’ve liked to check in on from time to time, and with the new Beauty and the Beast movie out, it reminded me I haven’t checked in a while. I’ve reread the archive again, and I want to say just how nice and solid it all is, and how much I’ve enjoyed it. Whether you come back to work on it or not, I still enjoy everything you’ve done, and I’m glad this exists.
