Matix, I love you. If that doesn’t sum it up, I don’t know what else does.
This is fantastic. Seriously. I’m in love with this story. I guess many people would agree with the fact that converting a fairytale with a typical damsel in distress into a romantic story about two boys is an absolute win.
The art is gorgeous, characterization is well-done and the dialogues look smooth and natural and I find them very interesting to follow unlike in majority of other webcomics where plot serves merely to introduce sex and everything crumbles there.
But you know what I adore most about this story?
Let’s see: it’s about a guy who is kept prisoner by a tentacle beast. Let your regular rabid yaoi fangirl make a story with these settings and a poor guy would probably end up being tortured and abused and raped and raped and raped for the rest of his life.
I don’t know where this story is going, but seems to me it’s the exact opposite. If I remember well, I read in the description that they gradually become friends and that it’s actually Sebastian who comes to care first, so they are probably going to develop a deep emotional attachment and, Matix, I absolutely adore you for this.
I never even dreamed of saying this but… if their relationship does develop on an emotional level, if they come to care about each other, then holy mother of god, these two making love, yes, making love is going to be one of the most goddamn romantic things I ever read in my life.
So, please, whatever dark secrets the Beast will turn out to have, don’t let this turn into another non-con, shallow relationship. The two of them having sex totally has to be consensual, haha. Please.
Anyways, Matix, your story literally made my day. Thank you, thank you so much. I’m totally spreading love.
Thank you ^__^ I’m very glad that you’re enjoying Sebastian and the Beast. I’m always trying to improve my drawing and storytellling ability, and I do my best to make every page interesting.
I know what you mean about the rape. Rest assured, I will never treat non-consensual sex as an okay thing, and Sebastian and Beast will definitely not have that kind of relationship. It won’t be easy, and there will be several rough spots, but the sex (when it happens – I swear this project has given me more plot than I know what to do with, and it was supposed to be a ‘short’ adaptation! orz ) will be fully consensual. 🙂

Update: Hmm, I just saw that this is PG-13. But they are totally going to make love, aren’t they? 😀 I mean, they HAVE to. 😀
This is so irritating, that annoying ‘radio comix’ logo is constantly blocking out important text, making the conversation hard to follow I love the story, but I need to be able to properly follow it.
