Ominous forest is ominous. Love the contrast between the white horse and the steadily deepening black of the forest. Also, I think the King should read more fairy tales; this is going nowhere good.

The ominous forest ate the last of my crosshatching pen, too. *g* Will have to stop by art supply store for another one before next week.

Yeah, he’s not stupid, but he’s very.. linear, I guess? No, it really isn’t going anywhere good. *coff*

Ooooh boy, this is not going to go well…

But haha, I’d say the pen gave itself up for a very good cause! Daaaamn that crossthatching and details. 8DD

…Oh. Hmmm. Hmmmm. So, the guard takes the princess to a forest and leaves her there, but then how did her portrait (and possibly dresses)… LSKSJDFD I have to waaaaaait, aaaaaah. *impatient*

      Nnnope, not really.

      XD Thank you!

*snerk* Yeah, it’s one of those fairytale things. And some fairytales were downright dark before Disney got ahold of them.

*snerks* yeah, that always works. *shakes head* and then the daughter is adopted by fae and comes back to make their lives miserable. Can we say self fulfilling prophecy?

Prophecy can be self-fulfilling, but on the other hand what if it’s not? =/ And you don’t know ahead of time. I do not envy the king right now.

Okay, so not only has the king neglected the fairy tale side of his education, he’s also neglected his classical mythology. The abandoned royal child who was prophesied to destroy the kingdom will not just die when exposed in the wilderness. Instead, they will inevitably be found by a shepherd, a goatherd, a passing peddler, a pack of wild beasts, or in extreme cases a caravan of visiting royalty from another city, any of whom will take the child in and raise it to adulthood with absolutely NO attachment to or feeling for the kingdom they’re destined to destroy, and thus no perceivable reason to feel any guilt at the kingdom’s destruction.

Yup. And those are if you’re lucky.
