Wow! still asleep, her room must be set pretty far back, or these sounds are nothing to her, like living near railroad tracks you can sleep through anything. except maybe someone running and screaming outside your room and then them being hacked to death in front of your door.
maybe she places the curse for the interrupted sleep.
same suspense as when Sebastian was being chased in the chapel, but added to the claustrophobic feeling in the tight hall, you do show true terror with the added darkness and those angles.
is that the same nice young man who showed her to the room?
Yup, she’s in some of the guest/servant quarters, and in her case she’s the last one to arrive, so she got stuck into that one room that’s way back away from everything and always hot in summer and cold in winter. You know, ~that~ room, that nobody else really wants and that’s why it’s a guest room? It’s still a step up from sleeping in the stables, but yeah.
Plus she’s pretty tired from her travels.
