This reminds me of a picture I saw once where someone had been injured and their friend was saying ‘could you try not to be so . . . mortal.’
Sebastian looks so . . . tiny next to Beast like that. Tiny and helpless-not the stubborn captain I’m used to (or Beast’s used to for that matter). And that first panel, that’s a lot of blood. That’s NOT GOOD.
Hurry up you scaredy servants. You heard him, get the surgeon’s kit!
Yeah, Sebastian took a beating this time around, and no mistake. Even pure stubborn can sometimes be outclassed. =/
(Sebastian’s not always going to win, and he knows that, but he refuses to give up regardless. *g* And if he hadn’t tried so hard, Beast wouldn’t have gotten to him in time, so.)

XD It feels like it’s been forever since I drew Beast, so I’m really enjoying getting back into the swing of it with his hair and tentacles. *g*
I know the servants are being scared, but when I first saw them I thought the middle one at least was being all yoai-fangirl-spying-around-the-corner and giggling behind her hand. (I’m with her; I want a full picture of Beast carrying Sebastian XD) Wait, if the servants can carry towels and stuff, couldn’t they have picked up swords and helped Sebby with the corpse-guy? (I know, I know, that would ruin the plot)
But seriously: “Stay with me”? D’aaaah! Why is this so horrible and so sweet all at the same time?!

Haha, yeah, it would rather bork the danger-factor of the ghost. Pretty much the logic here is that the ghost is stronger by an order of magnitude than the servants, as well as completely off his head. Since he probably ~can~ hurt the servants, they steer clear of him, plus Beast doesn’t like the servants going into the chapel or north tower either. Since everything happened so quickly (really, it’s only maybe three or four mintues from when Bastian enters the chapel to when Beast arrives) they didn’t really have time to notice, much less react. They’re only there now because they followed Beast when he came blasting through in a hurry.

Apparently Beast does care after all *grins* You can see that in between the “Stop bleeding on my carpet” and the “You idiot. WHy’d you do that?” *smirks* I almost expected that last DeLovely to be Sebastian or even Bastian instead.
XD hahaha, yep! Beast is still not entirely comfortable with caring if Bastian lives or dies, but he does anyway!
Allie and I discussed that one back and forth ~forever~. XD;;
I have the impression that the servants are at a loss of what the are expected to do, the master is not only directly assisting another living person, but showing signs of worry over his well being, where it has been mostly the Grrrr arrrgh, neck breaking and feeding them to the shrubbery………..is this the famous scene “could this be the one? the one who has come to break the spell?” let the gossiping begin.
So, they need to get those translucent asses moving, the Beast is going to need, a pen knife, sewing needle, thread and fifth of scotch.
*l* Yup, the servants never get to come into the chapel or tower either, plus the ghost scares even them. Add that to Beast acting strange, and they’re kinda out of their depth.
Dagger, catgut(which is not actually made from cats), sewing needle, and the strongest alcohol and healing magicks he can get his hands on(on short notice). *g* Beast is used to taking care of his horses, at least, so he has ~some~ experience with sewing up wounds. (It’s still kind of like getting a vet to play doctor, but at least it’s not just theoretical knowledge)
