XD <3 This page felt kinda weird because it has ~no~ direct full-face-shots ('cept that one in the center but that's super tiny), so all the emotion is carried via body-language.
Yup. Beast’s a little rusty at it though. /understatement
*nod* It’ll come up in the next page, but this isn’t the first time Sebastian has seen this type of reaction. Also, he knows he botched that last conversation pretty badly, so he wants to help, but knows he might not be welcome just then.
Oh gods, poor Beast. You opened the door after keeping it bolted shut for far too long; everything crowds out all at once when you do that. All the ghosts, all the tears you didn’t let yourself shed, all the hurt and hunger and need… it’ll all come stampeding out like wild horses now, you’ll never ever get them back inside again. And now you have to ride every one of them.
Not out of any kind of disgust, mind you. Beast is not in a stable place right now, and his need to draw inward to shield himself outweighed his need to have tactile reassurance.
Also Beast hasn’t had regular contact with living people for a long time. It’s something he’s still getting used to.
(also I maaay have drawn it too small, but check out the last panel in the next page *g* )
*INCOHERENT FLAILING ALDKFJ;SDF* BEAAAAAAST. AAAAAAH TOUCHING SEBASTIAN AAAAAAAAH

Awwwwwwwww. Why is it that guys crying is always such a gut-punch?
Partly because girls are allowed to cry for a variety of reasons, but if a guy cries, usually something somewhere is seriously broken.
Also because Beast has a lot of hurt to work through, and as much as it hurts, it means he’s finally starting to heal.
It’s called grief, Beast. Perfectly normal, especially if you’ve put it off for years. Emotion wants out.
Well done, Sebastian, for knowing enough about the whole process to ask whether or not his company is wanted, and offer the option.

*mental image of Sebastian helping Beast pick himself up after being thrown from one of the horses*
AUGH
<3
DDDDD: *heart breaking*
I love the way you’ve not given a single clear view of their faces here; it has a really powerful impact when paired with the content.
Thank you.
Did he pull his hand away?
Yeah.
