CAPSStanSakaiAuctionStan Saki, creator of Usagi Yojimbo, and his wonderful wife, Sharon have been stoically dealing with her debilitating medical issues for some time now. Unfortunately, with the need of 24 hour at home care, money, even with insurance is becoming harder and harder to cover. To help, CAPS, the Cartoon Art Professional Society, has stepped forward to help with fundraising to help offset the overwhelming costs.

Been working really hard behind the scenes here at Radio and finally have some news for you all. Today, we open our eComix Shop here on the site, allowing you to pay for and download digital copies your favorite Radio Comix titles.

For now, we can only accept PayPal, but if there's enough demand for it, we might add our credit card payment processor to the payment options. Sorry, we cannot accept checks or money orders for our digital downloads.

We're starting with BMI#1 and will be slowly adding titles as we get them processed and publishing rights allow.

We here at radio are sad to hear of Toren Smith's passing. While I had never gotten a chance to meet him, I know Elin & crew got the chance to work directly with him translating 3x3 Eyes and What's Michel when Studio Proteus and Radio Comix teamed up for the early days of Super Manga Blast.

Toren was instrumental for getting the manga translation scene going here in the states and the rise of anime and manga fandom in the Bay Area of Northern California, if not all of the US. His passion to bringing over the best Japan had to offer with well rewritten, finely touched translations those titles deserved influenced us and sparked Radio's own dedication to translated manga and original US creator owned works. To this day we continue to strive to the idea's he set.

Toren, you will be missed.
